As the flu season brings record-breaking numbers of hospitalizations and deaths across the state, the Beckham County Health Department is offering flu shots at no charge to recipients. 

In their second year of competition, the Merritt HS Robotics Team went to the state competition on Friday and Saturday

Elk City hosted Chickasha for District action and the Big Elks charged to a 74-48 victory. They took the first quarter 13-11 behind a pair of treys by Trent Lewallen.

    Janey Louise Story, 83, of Burns Flat, Oklahoma was born on March 13, 1934.  She passed away on Monday, February 20, 2018.

        The Lord called Betty Lou Appleton to her eternal Home February 19th, 2018 at her home in Wagoner, OK with her husband by her side.

Nikkie Marie Stone, 35, of Elk City, Oklahoma was born on August 16, 1982.  She entered the kingdom of Heaven on Wednesday, February 14, 2018.
