Elk City Block Parties back by popular demand

Come one, come all to the second year of Elk City’s Block Parties. Friday, May 3rd will be the first monthly Block Party located downtown from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., featuring Kyle Brewer Music. Food trucks and the main stage will be located on East Broadway and Main Street in the lot off Broadway behind First National Bank & Trust of Elk City’s Downtown branch, which is a slight change in location from last year. 

This event is part of the Elk City Chamber of Commerce. According to the coordinator, Brittini Flowers, of 580 Mercantile, the mission is to strengthen the community. 

“We have an incredible foundation and are so proud of our town. We really like you guys. We want everyone to succeed. We want all of our local businesses to succeed. We want your family to succeed. That’s Block Party’s mission, building strength, making new friends and making Elk City the place everyone wants to raise their families with folks of all walks of life, all denominations, young and old,” Flowers wrote on the Block Party Elk City’s Facebook page.
