Elk City unveils Holiday Bucket List
The Elk City Convention and Visitor’s Bureau has made a list and checked it twice, because experiencing Christmas in Elk City is ever so nice.
There are several things to do here at home with your family before Christmas arrives, according to Elk CVB Director Julie Lenius.
“No other town in Western Oklahoma offers this many things to do to make the holidays even more special,” Lenius said.
Christmas in the Park kicks off November 23 and runs through December 31 in Ackley Park. Free activities every Friday and Saturday from 6pm– 9pm through December 22 include rides on the Double Decker Bus and the Centennial Carousel, horse-drawn carriage rides, and a spin around the pond on the Candy Cane Express miniature train. You can also stay warm with a cup of hot chocolate from the local boy scouts.
Visitors to Ackley Park can enjoy the beauty of twinkling lights, animated displays, and festive Christmas decorations every night from 6pm-11pm November 23 through December 31.
The Elk City Convention & Visitors Bureau is excited to unveil the newest addition to Elk City’s Christmas in the Park. A massive, one of a kind, holiday snow globe that will allow visitors to have a unique photo opportunity unlike anything they have ever experienced before! The Elk City Holiday Snow Globe will be featured from 6pm to 9pm at Elk City’s Christmas in the Park on Nov. 23rd, 24th, 30th and Dec. 1st.
Residents can experience the joy of giving by participating in the Mayor’s Toy Drive or by donating to any non-profit organization in Elk City to brighten someone’s Christmas.
Families will have fun at Untitled Pop Up Theatre’s production of “Uh-Oh! Here Comes Christmas”...
